Kohli clearly rejected Holder's proposal of ensuring Sharma's exit as India comfortably won the last ODI and the series. Batting first, West Indies could only manage to score 104 runs in the final game on Thursday. Dhawan's early exit brought Kohli-Sharma in the middle, and they remained unbeaten till they scored the winning run.
When we asked Kohli about Holder's proposal, he laughed and said: "I could have taken Holder and his proposal seriously. None of us could even think of a century looking at the target set by Windies."
Kohli who won the man-of-the-series award looked equally happy for the series win by his team. "We played like a team to ensure that at least for one time batsmen don't feel any pressure in the middle. As far as Sharma's terror in the Windies is concerned, he still smashed half of the needed runs in the final game."
The teams will play the first T20i on November 04. Holder is aiming not to repeat the same mistake. He looked excited and said that " considering the T20 records, skipper Kohli might find it challenging to propose for the exit of any Caribbean players specifically as every West Indian player can slog. " Who's going to a proposal to whom? Only time will tell.
