Why doesn't Rahul Dravid get the amount of respect he deserves?

Respect is of two types, IMPOV.

1. Media respect: This is the respect given by media or given in front of Media. This may not be true in all cases. People have to act in front of a camera.

2. True respect: This is the one that we genuinely feel about a person.

In the second case, not even Sachin Tendulkar or Ganguly or Dhoni are going to beat Rahul Dravid.

One more simple act of Dravid is what creating chaos.

Yes, the legend could have asked for a special box ticket for the latest IPL match, could have joined the commentators and enjoyed the show, could have sat near the dugouts.

But he prefers to stay in the spectator's space. He lived as a simple common man.

This is what got him respect! Not his records!

some quotes :

Muralitharan

“Rahul is always been in the shadow of Sachin. If you take his record it’s as good as Sachin's but you cannot compare both as they are a different kind of players. Rahul is a complete cricketer."

Brett Lee

"If you can't get along with Dravid, you're struggling in life "

Navjot Singh Sidhu

"Rahul Dravid is a player who would walk on broken glass if his team asks him to"

Ian Chappell

“Team in trouble? Whom do you turn to? Rahul Dravid!”

Steve Waugh

"Rahul is the kind of person who young cricketers can look up to; not only because of his success but also because of the way he conducts himself."
