After facing heavy criticism on India tour of England, the men in blue are set to play meet their Asian friends in UAE. There are a few changes in the squad that caught out attention. Because, India is playing the 'not so strong' team Hong Kong in their first match in Asia cup 2018, some players are given with rest to come up stronger in the fixture against Pakistan.
KL Rahul and Bumrah who at least have some good memories from India tour of England are missing the game against Hong Kong. Interestingly, Dhawan who was a part of all the three T20, ODI and test squads is not missing the game. To understand the matter in a better way, we reached out to the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. He looked hopeful for a little bit improvement in Dhawan's performance. "I don't think playing in England exhausted Dhawan even a bit. Bumrah and Rahul still spent some time with what they were supposed to do against England," said Sharma.
Ending it on a positive note, Sharma added that, "I trust Shikhar's talent and I really hope playing against underdogs will help him perform better in the next crucial game against Pakistan.
