When Twitterati called Shastri a big mouth
India bounced back after the unsatisfactory performance in England. Winning Asia Cup for the seventh time and keeping Windies winless in the test series undoubtedly helped India gain momentum before ICC World Cup 2019 in England and Wales. Now, it doesn't matter how we take the team's show in 2018 so far, people do have opinions, and often they spit them out.
Where Ravi Shashtri found little bits of legendary cricketers like Sachin, Veeru and Lara in the youngest member of the team Prithwi Shaw, people on Twitter couldn't disagree anymore.
The cricket fans took a jibe at Shastri by reminding him of the poor show in England earlier this year.
A cricket enthusiast tweeted, "If Shastri had a head as big as his mouth, we would have performed better in England."
"Mr. Coach before giving yourself a pat on your shoulder, let Shaw show what he can do in England," tweeted another user.
Twitterati didn't just stop there, one of the tweets went too personal and commented on his habit of sitting drunk in the stands.
"How many pegs did it take you to forget India's miserable performance in England," asked another fan of the Men in Blue.
It seems the cricket fans have evolved with time and they no more like uncompetitive clashes.
Will India have to win the World Cup 2019 to calm these plastic fans down?
