Viru to Zinta: Cricket is not Bollywood
We are getting to hear a lot about the recent verbal spat between Virender Sehwag and Priety Zinta. Apparently the reason behind this conflict was the loss against Rajasthan Royals in 40th match of IPL.
Preity Zinta is a significant name that has been associated with IPL since its birth. The bollywood actress is one of the owners of IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab. Talking about Sehwag, the KXIP's batting coach doesn't need an introduction. To understand the intensity of the dispute, our team interviewed both Viru and Preity. After some probing we came to know that Preity and Viru are struggling to work as a team in KXIP.
Preity blamed Sehwag for the loss against Rajasthan Royals by stating, "Viru is not taking his responsibilities seriously. Sending a below average batsman like Ashwin on number 3 is just not justified." When asked about Ravichandran Ashwin's role as a captain in Punjab, the actress first refrained from commenting but then questioned his performance by saying that "Ashwin is the team's captain because of his international experience with Indian team."
Former Indian star batsman Sehwag didn't look very happy with how Zinta reacted to the loss against Rajasthan. Viru opposed the owner by saying that "Unlike Bollywood cricket doesn't always have happy endings. Ashwin wasn't happy how the team had been winning without his batting." Supporting KXIP's captain, Sehwag assured Punjabi fans by saying, "Ashwin won't come in before 8 down in the fixtures ahead."
We really hope that such difference of opinions won't affect Punjab's performance in IPL 18. Who do you think is right? Share your opinion in the comment section.
