Know your team: Toronto Nationals
Team Squad: Darren Sammy(C), Steven Smith, Kieron Pollard, Kamran Akmal(Wk), Hussain Talat, Rumman Raees, Nikhil Dutta, Johnson Charles, Kesrick Williams, Naveed Ahmad, Farhan Malik, Usama Mir, Rohan Mustafa, Nitish Kumar
Team Strengths: Toronto Nationals biggest strength lies in their seasoned batting line-up with the likes of Darren Sammy,Steve Smith, Kieron Pollard and Kamran Akmal. These T20 veteran batsman will prove to be beneficial for the inexperienced local Canadian batsmen in the squad. Kesrick Williams’ stats of 25 wickets in 15 T20s are good enough to give a hard time to any opposition batting line up.
Weakness: Despite having some big names on their side, the presence of inexperienced T20 players as Nikhil Dutta, Naveed Ahmed and Farhan Malik may pose some problems for the side. These players will make their T20 debut in the GT20 and may prove to be hit or a miss.
X-Factor: Steve Smith is itching to make comeback as GT20 is one of the few opportunities he will get to impress the Australian Selectors for CWC 2019. Steve Smith may well be the factor whose performance will decide the fate of Toronto Nationals.
Player to watch out - 29 T20s,33 wickets at an average of 21.03. You may not have heard about him but these stats in PSL do all the talking for the young leggie Usama Mir. GLT20 can be the platform where he will announce himself on the global stage.
