BCCI has announced that IPL 2019 will be held in India from March 23. This it rules out the possibility of IPL to be played in a foreign country.
The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) on Tuesday met in New Delhi to discuss the VIVO IPL 2019 venues and window.
The initial discussions with the central and state authorities have assured the CoA that IPL can be possibly be held in the country. The final lists of matches and venues are scheduled to be decided after the dates for the General Elections 2019 are announced. The COA will then have detailed discussion with all the Stakeholders before releasing the VIVO IPL 2019 Schedule.
It is possible that IPL will not follow its traditional home and away matches format in 2019 as the venues and the dates are subject to the general elections dates.
