IPL 2019: 5 Players Rajasthan Royals may look in auction

Rajasthan Royals were hit in the start of 2019 season with their star batsman and captain Steve Smith suspended. But with consistent team performances in deciding, they managed to reach the playoffs by a whisker. Jos Buttler had a breakthrough season as an opener but lack in depth and key players departing hit the team in the playoffs.

Strength: Rajasthan has a strong core of batting and with Steve Smith coming back, the batting looks very solid. Jos Buttler with 548 runs had the support of Sanju Samson and the experience of Ajinkya Rahane. Rajasthan's batting is capable of setting big targets as well as chasing them.

Weakness: In the case of Rajasthan Royals, the area of concern is bowling. Their most expensive buy Jayadev Unadkat had a horrible season and has led to his release. Joffra Archer, who picked up 15 wickets in 10 matches needs a strike partner. Lack of experienced spinner is another area of concern as Shreyas Gopal and Krishnappa Gowtham are not seasoned campaigners,

With a salary cap of whopping of 20.9crores, Rajasthan will look to reinforce their Indian bowlers, a quality spinner and a match-winning all-rounder.
