IPL 2019: 5 Players KKR may look in auction

With one of the smallest squads in 2018, KKR put in a very good performance to end on the 3rd place in the table. Injuries to the leading bowlers left KKR’s inexperienced pace attack exposed, which hurt them in the final matches. With them releasing 8 of the players, KKR has made a clear statement of making their core squad even stronger.

Strength: Having 2 of the best allrounders in the league in Narine and Russell is the biggest strength of Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR also boast one of the best-looking spin squad in Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav, and Piyush Chawla. Exciting young talent as Shubman Gill will be having an increased responsibility in this season.

Weakness: KKR’s biggest weakness would be the fitness of key players and the pace attack. Chris Lynn and Andre Russell are very injury prone and a blow to either of them would prove to be a season changer for KKR. With them releasing Starc, Johnson from their ranks, a reboot of the pace attack is a must for KKR.

With the salary cap of whopping 15.2crores, KKR will look to buy quality pacers and some consistent batsmen.
