"I should've been sent in at number 3" - Yuvraj Singh

Punjab won 5 of their first 6 games in IPL 2018 and looked promising  but the second half of the season has been proved to be a nightmare for them. 7 consecutive losses have almost nullified the team's possibilities to reach play-offs. In a very important fixture against Mumbai Indians KXIP lost the match by mere 3 runs. Despite KL Rahul's innings of 94 off 60 balls, Mumbai clinched the victory to stay alive in the tournament. After analyzing the possible strategic approaches that Punjab could have followed, we decided to interview the the former star batsman Yuvraj Singh.

Yuvraj who has been performing indigently in most of the games in last couple of years; looked unhappy with the kind of treatment he received in IPL 2018 so far. The batsman blamed the captain Ravichandran Ashwin for the last night's defeat against MI by saying, "I should've been sent in at no.3 after we lose Gayle."

Man of the series for ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 highlighted the captain's biased treatment and stated that "It must have been indigestible for everybody to see Ashwin at no. 3 and not me."

"I have contributed a lot to Indian cricket but it seems like the game doesn't need me anymore. " Yuvi added.
