Hit and Flop GT20 Match 2 - Montreal Tigers Vs Winnipeg Hawks
Well, this one did not quite go down to the wire but was not without a few sparks of individual brilliance.
Here are our takes on five hits and flops from this match-
Darren Bravo (WH)
While the spotlight was on “the Champion”, the “other Bravo “stole the limelight with a 29 ball-54. Though Darren Bravo idolizes Brian Lara in his batting style, he was never known to be a T20 power hitter. But we were pleasantly surprised by his exploits this morning.
Ben McDermott (WH)
We still remember his father’s pace and accuracy with the ball but McDermott junior has made quite a name in BBL as a power-hitter and certainly showed his class this morning with a classy 68 off 46.
“Killer” Miller did not quite find his touch in IPL 2018 but he reminded the world of his brutal power this morning with a 15-ball 35, studded with 2 fours and three sixes.
David Warner (WH)
After the fruitful return to the cricket field by Steve Smith the other day, all eyes were on Warner for obvious reasons. But his stay at the wicket lasted only for 2 balls as he was cleaned up by a Malinga beauty for only 1. Warner was a livewire on the field though, with 3 catches and a run-out.
Sunil Marine (MT)
We had all the rights to keep high hopes on the MVP of IPL 2018 but he had an off day with the ball and scored only 20 at the top.
