Malinga likely for Mumbai Indians’ next two games

Days after a report emerged that Lasith Malinga is set to miss at least the first six games for Mumbai Indians in the IPL in order to play domestic cricket to be considered for World Cup selection, the BCCI has managed to persuade Sri Lanka Cricket to change their stance. Consequently, Malinga is set to be available for the three-time IPL champions at the earliest.

According to ESPNcricinfo, Malinga is likely to play at least two early-season games for Mumbai Indians.

Drama in Jaipur as Buttler mankaded

Controversy erupted in the clash between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab in Jaipur after R Ashwin mankaded Jos Buttler. After being asked to bat, Kings XI Punjab posted 184/4. In reply, the Royals were comfortably placed at 105/1 before Jos Buttler's controversial run-out changed the course of the game. The Royals were eventually restricted to 170/9.

Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings  

After registering a comfortable win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in their IPL 2019 opener, defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Delhi Capitals - who beat Mumbai Indians on Sunday (March 24) - at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Tuesday (March 26).

‘Bumrah’s recovery is on track’

Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been cleared of serious injury after hurting his left shoulder in the IPL match against Delhi Capitals on Sunday (March 24). "Bumrah is in Mumbai along with team physio Nitin Patel, continuing with the assessment," a Mumbai spokesperson said. "His recovery is on track and fortunately no sign of stress."
