Just when Delhi Capitals started looking good in IPL 2019, a dramatic collapse against Kings XI Punjab in their fourth fixture snatched victory off the Capitals’ hands. Last few overs of their innings proved to be a nightmare as they lost their seven wickets for just eight runs. Not only the cricket fans around the globe were shocked following the Capitals’ loss, the experts also failed to keep calm.
Here’s how cricket fraternity reacted to DC’s humiliation -
“Cricket is a game of uncertainties but I wonder how uncertain can things be sometimes? Kind of nervous for the rest of the season.”- Ricky Ponting, DC coach
“Delhi Capitals’ show against KXIP made me relive my Delhi Daredevils days.” - Virender Sehwag
“This is why I left Delhi Daredevils in 2011. They are way too generous to win games.” - Gautam Gambhir
“Even switching from ‘daring’ to ‘capitalizing’ has not been good enough for Delhi. Being the team’s advisor, I have run out of advice for them.” - Sourav Ganguly, DC’s advisor
“I admit I talk too high of myself at times, but I genuinely believe that this time even I could have won the game for Delhi Capitals.” - Aakash Chopra
“Wow, it was even worse than how the rest of the Indian team used to follow me to the pavilion. No words are enough to describe how well I connected to Delhi’s innings.” - Sachin Tendulkar
